Established in 1965, Shri Bhartiya Vidya Mandal has been a pillar of education in Surat district. Beginning with Shri J. S. Bhakta & Shri K. M. Bhakta Arts and Shri A. N. Shah Science College in 1966, the institution provided much-needed higher education to rural students, including those from marginalized communities. Expanding further, Shri N. F. Shah Commerce College was introduced in 1978, making it the only Grant-in-Aid college in South Gujarat to offer Arts, Science, and Commerce under one roof. Today, the institution continues its commitment to academic excellence and inclusive education.
Today, the institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in Arts, Science, and Commerce, along with a specialized Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (PGDMLT). With highly qualified faculties, state-of-the-art infrastructure, ICT-enabled classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, a comprehensive library, and a lush green cricket ground; the college provides students with an enriching learning environment.

Shri Bhartiya Vidya Mandal, today a premier educational trust was founded way back in 1965 by a team of service-oriented individuals influenced by “Gandhian Philosophy” with the aim to promote education in rural parts of Surat district. Today, Shri Bhartiya Vidya Mandal runs 07 institutions under which imparting education from KG to PG.
