1. Establishment & History

Way back in 1965,some grass-root workers and donors met together in Cotton Jin, Kamrej Char Rasta to find out the possibilities of establishing an education institute. Shree Bhartiya Vidya Mandal was founded in the same year. Shree J.S.Bhakta & Shree K.M.Bhakta Arts & Shree A.N.Shah Science College was inaugurated in June-1966. First ten year were full of constains and difficulties. Despite of constrains, the pioneer trustees kept on working hard ritually. Their creative instinct and fore sight brought stability to the goal. Our first principal Dr.C.M.Mehta was instrumental in working out such a goal. Chemistry P.G. centre was started in 1969. One more faculty was added in 1978 in the form of Shree N.F.Shah Commerce College. Thus, three facilties started working under the same roof. Hunger of students of kamrej taluka and surrounding area was stimulated for higher education. Since there was a virtual lack of hostel facilities, a boy’s hostel was started in 1979. Gujarati P.G. center was added in 1994 & Commerce P.G. Ceanter (Management & Financial Accountancy) added in 2008. As a one step ahead for a science graduate students proffetional diploma one year course (P.G.D.M..L.T.) launched in the year 2006-07. Our president shri A.T. Bhakta, trustees of Shree Bhartiya Vidya Mandal, principal, lecturers, and administrative staff provide constant inspiration to the student for their educational, physical, social and spiritual uplift. The students, therefore, are provided multidirectional opportunities for their overall development and this in turn would lead to elevate the pride of their families, society, state and nation. Scince faculty of our college offers specialization in Chemistry and Microbiology while Chemestry and Physics are the subsidiary ones. Economics, Gujarati and English are the Major subject taught in Arts faculty whereas Hindi, Sanskrit, Psychology and History are the subsidiary subjects. Accounancy in taught as a special subject and Banking as a subsidiary subject in Commerce faculty.

Our college is receiving grants form U.G.C. under acts 2 F & 12 B.
